Kuantan, Malaysia

Continuing my journey along the eastern side of peninsular Malaysia, I headed south from Teragganu to Kuantan. I did not stay in the town itself, but several kilometers north of the town on a strip of quiet beach. The modern condo block was right on the beach looking out to the sea, with it having a swimming pool and gym, direct access to the beach, and restaurants across the road.

Here is some of the friendly local Malaysians running one of the food stalls just over the road from where I was staying.

Some interesting history along this section of the coast, with there being World War II pill boxes found looking out to sea.

I took a local bus into the town one day to have a walk round, see the place and get some fruit from the market, one street had alot of art.

And that was a relaxing quiet weekend in Kuantan.
