So after taking in more of Istanbul, trying some of the kebabs and seeing what the spice bazaar had to offer, we decided to go the Besiktas football match, as they were playing at home on Saturday night and are 1 of the big teams in Istanbul. The atmosphere was absolutely unbelievable, the ground was full 30 minutes before kick off and the fans were chanting their heads off – ive never been to a louder football match! result: Besiktas 2 – 1 Antalyaspor
Left Istanbul yesterday and got an afternoon bus journey round to Canakkule, a nice port/seaside town, so going on a tour of Gallipoli today, a WWI landing & battle site very famous in Australian history.
