Well I arrived on the 23rd of December at Kovalam Beach ready for Christmas. It turned out to be a nice spot for the week, and this is the view of the bay and beach, from the lighthouse.

Kovalam was interesting with lots of little lanes, running behind the beach, where I found a restaurant that had this beautiful view across the backwaters.

This is Christmas morning on the beach as the fisherman pull their fishing nets in, to see what they have caught.

I had a good Christmas brunch of eggs, bacon and rosti while looking out over the beach.

Here is the Christmas Day sunset from the rocks at the end of the beach.

It was fairly busy with local and international tourists for the Christmas and New Year holiday period. This photo shows how many people were on the beach for sunset.
