Well its been a long while since I did any posts, as ill health meant I had to postpone my trip to New Zealand last year, but I’m here finally now.

So have not been in Auckland long yet, perhaps just over 24 hours in New Zealand, but was keen to get out and see the city on my first day today.

With a great warm sunny day it is well worth hopping the short ferry from Auckland Ferry Terminal over the bay to Devonport.  Then it is a 15 minute work up the hill from town around the path up to the top of Mount Victoria, which is the remnants of a volcanic cone.  Once at the top here is some of the great views, back towards the city, and across to the island with Rangitoto volcano on.
