Food around Washington DC, USA

Well having spent quite abit of time this trip around Washington DC, including having great company and some tasty meals, I thought I would post some of the various dishes I have eaten recently.

There are no shortage of good breakfast/brunch restaurants/cafes, but maybe my favourite in DC was Ted’s Diner. Here I had the breakfast burrito, with us sharing some great blueberry pancakes.

This brunch was at Tatte Bakery & Cafe. It has several locations across DC, and has good fresh bakery items aswell as cooked breakfasts.

These bagels come from the “Call Your Mother Deli” in Georgetown. They do make a tasty bagel with the generous amount of fillings, here was egg and pastrami in one, with turkey and pesto on the other.

Another American classic I had to try was IHOP, which stands for International House of Pancakes. It is a traditional roadside diner type place with breakfasts and ofcourse good pancakes.

I wouldn’t be in USA unless I had some great burgers, this was a cheeseburger at Swizzler near the Washington Nationals baseball stadium.

Finally here is a classic tiramisu from a longstanding Italian restaurant in Georgetown, called Filomena Ristorante. As ever in USA, especially in such a large city such as Washington DC there is thousands of choices for meals and food spread across the city. So this was just a few of the places I had tried and enjoyed.
