Despite being to Thailand on numerous occasions, I’ve never dedicated a post to the amazing Thai food, so here just a small selection of dishes I had on my recent trip.

Starting with a classic green papaya salad or Som Tam. An excellent spicy fresh salad with chilli and lime.

A favourite for a fantastic range of excellent value dishes, are the food courts in many of the Bangkok malls. Terminal 21 has a huge choice where I ate these dishes. The 3 dishes were; Pad Thai noodles, fried chicken spicy salad, and a range of roasted duck and pork served on rice.

A found this local stall near the waterfront in Prachuap Khiri Khan. I had to search the name of the dish, Kanom Jeen, is the name of the rice noodles. Here the noodles are served with a range of curry as well as salad. The noodles with thai green curry and vegetables on was very good.

Another favourite of mine is Pad Kra Pow. Which is thai basil stir fry with chilli, here I had duck pad kra pow for a change. You can get this dish with a range of different proteins, often pork or beef.
Finally a simple road side version of a noodle soup. You never have to go far to stop for a snack when travelling and this noodle soup was great.
