Food in Japan

Well as usual the great food on offering in Japan deserved a post of its own. So here it is, starting with a excellently prepared soy ramen.

Worth a note, was not just the food I ate, but a couple of the very local cafes. These were simple family type businesses, offering simple cheap and tasty traditonal Japanese dishes.

One such example was this good bowl of hot noodles with egg and chicken.

This couple had a very small little cafe offering a selection of dishes for lunch. You could select 3 or 4 dishes to be served with rice and soup. It was a fun experience spending time here over lunch.

In Nagoya, I went for their speciality miso katsu. The katsu pork cutlet is served with a sweet and savoury red miso sauce on it, well worth trying this out in this city.

Lastly, another good lunch meal and deal, of Okonomiyaki and noodles, seeved frying on the hot plate at the table.
